The PAC LPA-E.4 LocPRO Advanced 4-Channel Active Line Output Converter lets you add an aftermarket amplifier or powered subwoofer to a radio that does not provide the RCA preamp outputs your new equipment needs. Its active circuitry supplies up to 9.5 volts of RCA output, accepts factory speaker-level signals up to 40 volts, and provides selectable input loading for modern factory radios. It is a practical universal solution when a vehicle-specific amplifier interface is not required.
At a Glance
- Selectable two-channel or four-channel input mode; four-channel mode retains front-to-rear fade
- Handles up to 40 volts / 400 watts per channel at the 20 kΩ setting
- Selectable 20 Ω, 60 Ω, or 20 kΩ input load for factory-radio compatibility
- Dual gain controls with independent front and rear clip indicators
- Selectable 250 Hz low-pass filter and variable 0-12 dB bass boost on channels 3/4
- Included wired bass-level controller for channels 3/4
- Selectable ground isolation and DC-offset or remote-trigger turn-on
Compatibility & What You Need
- Source: Connect to full-range speaker-level outputs from a compatible factory or aftermarket radio. Do not use a bass-only factory channel unless the new amplifier is powering only a subwoofer.
- Amplifier: Connect the converter's RCA outputs to an aftermarket amplifier or powered subwoofer with RCA inputs.
- Vehicle connection: A matching PAC vehicle-specific T-harness can simplify installation in supported vehicles; otherwise the factory speaker wiring must be identified and connected correctly.
- Factory load sensing: Some radios require an AudioControl AC-LGD-20 or AudioControl AC-LGD-60 load-generating device. Use only when the vehicle or PAC application information calls for it.
- Amplifier wiring: The amplifier or powered subwoofer still requires correctly fused power and ground wiring. Those parts are sold separately.
- Professional installation and gain setting are strongly recommended.

Application disclaimer: A universal line output converter is not a vehicle-specific radio-retention interface.
