The PAC LP7-4 LocPRO 4-Channel Line Output Converter with Remote Turn-On lets you add an aftermarket amplifier or powered subwoofer to a radio that does not provide the RCA preamp outputs your new equipment needs. Its transformer-isolated passive design converts speaker-level audio to an RCA-level signal without requiring a separate power connection. It is a practical universal solution when a vehicle-specific amplifier interface is not required.
At a Glance
- Four-channel input and four-channel RCA output
- Accepts speaker-level signals from a compatible factory or aftermarket radio
- Adjustable stereo gain for matching the source to the amplifier input
- Rated for up to 55 watts of speaker-level input per channel
- 20 Hz-20 kHz frequency response (±1.5 dB)
- Compact single-harness design with wire-tie or screw mounting provisions
- Built-in remote-turn-on circuit for the connected amplifier
Compatibility & What You Need
- Source: Connect to full-range speaker-level outputs from a compatible factory or aftermarket radio. Do not use a bass-only factory channel unless the new amplifier is powering only a subwoofer.
- Amplifier: Connect the converter's RCA outputs to an aftermarket amplifier or powered subwoofer with RCA inputs.
- Vehicle connection: A matching PAC vehicle-specific T-harness can simplify installation in supported vehicles; otherwise the factory speaker wiring must be identified and connected correctly.
- Factory load sensing: Some radios require an AudioControl AC-LGD-20 or AudioControl AC-LGD-60 load-generating device. Use only when the vehicle or PAC application information calls for it.
- Amplifier wiring: The amplifier or powered subwoofer still requires correctly fused power and ground wiring. Those parts are sold separately.
- Professional installation and gain setting are strongly recommended.
