Important Application Notes

  • 2012-up GM trucks and SUVs with factory navigation require the application-specific RP5-GM32 instead.
  • For 2014 Silverado and Sierra, this interface is limited to supported 2500/3500 trucks without navigation; 1500 trucks use RP5-GM51 and navigation-equipped 2500/3500 trucks use RP5-GM32.
  • Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans with diesel engines are not compatible.
  • Premium amplified systems do not retain aftermarket-radio fader control.
  • Escalating park-assist tones, lane-departure tones, and forward-collision warning tones are not retained.
