JL Audio C6-653 — Build a detailed three-way front stage with separate 6.5-inch woofers, 2.75-inch midranges and 1-inch silk-dome tweeters. The C6-653 includes passive crossover networks with independent midrange and tweeter adjustments, so it is a complete stereo component speaker system rather than a pair of bare woofers.

The three-way layout gives the woofer, midrange and tweeter separate jobs. That is particularly useful when a properly installed midrange can bring voices higher into the cabin while the woofer handles midbass. The included passive networks provide four levels each of tweeter and midrange adjustment, allowing the installer to balance the system for the actual mounting positions.

DMA-optimized motor and suspension geometry targets low distortion and controlled driver movement. Cast-alloy woofer frames with Elevated Frame Cooling improve heat management, while the silk-dome tweeters provide detailed high-frequency output and useful off-axis coverage.
