Audison APS 8D is a single passive 8-inch subwoofer driver for compact sealed bass installations. It has dual 4-ohm voice coils and handles 250 W continuous / 500 W peak. An enclosure and external amplifier are required and sold separately; this is not a powered subwoofer box.

Will it fit my enclosure?

Check the actual mounting opening, depth and enclosure volume before ordering. The APS 8D needs a 187 mm (7.36-inch) cutout and has a 79 mm (3.11-inch) mounting depth. An 8-inch label alone does not confirm fit in a factory box or vehicle.

Enclosure and amplifier matching

  • Enclosure: designed for compact sealed volumes of 7.5–8.5 L (about 0.26–0.30 cu ft). Audison's published sealed-box example is 8.5 L. Account for driver displacement and follow the manufacturer's enclosure drawing.
  • Final load: connect the two 4-ohm coils in parallel for 2 ohms, or in series for 8 ohms. Match that final load to the amplifier's supported impedance and output.
  • Bridging: do not assume a 2-ohm parallel load is safe on a bridged channel pair. Follow the amplifier's bridged-load limit.
  • Factory audio: retaining a factory radio or amplifier requires checking its signal, output and integration requirements; this driver is not a universal plug-in replacement.

What's included and what else you need

Includes one APS 8D driver, steel-mesh grille and plastic gasket. Plan separately for a suitable sealed enclosure, amplifier, correctly fused power/ground wiring, speaker wire and any required factory-audio interface.
